Play With Colors

Hi to the Ho! Just like what I've promised before in my post about attending Sophie Martin's branch opening (read here), I'm so excited today to share with all of you the result of using cosmetics/beauty products I got from the event. But before I start, I'd like to admit that I'm not a person that's confident in wearing bright colors. Well I love bright colors when it comes to designs, but well, in outfit, no oh. I am also a black lover just like others, and my mom will always scold me, complaining about how a young girl like me always putting on dark colors outside, giving a bad impression/sight to people. But I got it, because I believe that she thinks the colors we are wearing reflects our character, like wearing bright means we are cheerful with bright personality people, while wearing dark will be the opposite. But then again, it was just my opinion, so well let's get to the next part.

The main reason of I hate wearing bright colors is that I don't like being stared by society, being the center of attention. I am an introvert girl, so I love spending almost all of my time being alone, or rather be with someone who knows me best or closest to me. But I don't know what has possessed me that I decide to had my hair colored this bright. Since I color my hair, the good thing is I was the center of attention in university, but the bad thing is that people who knew me, will take seconds till they recognize that it was me. A lot of my friends was surprised of my change, of course, because I was surprised myself. And beside that, the second reason I hate wearing bright colors is because I don't like the way bright colors showing curves of the body, especially because I am not a girl with super model body.

Receiving this cosmetics/beauty products from Sophie Martin, I finally challenged myself to go bright and play with the colors in my outfit rather than just in design. If you can clearly see in the first picture above, there's a blue shade of eyeliner on right eye (actually on both, but well the left one was closed by hair). And as you can see in the second right picture, the bag (the actual color is moss green, but I don't know myself how the edit change it looking like gray) is also a product I received from Sophie Martin. So I was challenged to think hard, about what colors that go with these products so that I can make it in one go. And I finally ask for my mom opinion, and she said, why don't you try it with yellow? Well, so here it is, a pop of yellow as the main color paired with this white jumpsuit so that I don't look too colorful, and these eyeglasses which I just love too much. I am just so in love with all the products gifted by Sophie Martin, and I will definitely use them as often as possible. And well, coming to the end, I would like to say to the readers of this post that if you have ever felt un/less-confident with something, just forget it and try to move on, challenge yourself and try something new, because we can't just stay in one spot, we need to try and learn new things (of course the good things) in order to find our real identity. Don't be afraid to challenge yourself. Get over your fear, and get to know what you can do more.
